SUMMARY
Tropical Fish the three Mugisha sisters, as they grow up against the backdrop of Uganda in the 1980s. Patti is a born-again Christian, Rosa is adventurous and sexually precocious. The star of the show however is Christine. We travel with her as she takes her first wobbly steps in high heels and later encounters the alienation amidst material wealth of America, before her final return home.

 MY VERDICT
Tropical Fish revolves round three Ugandan sisters and themes such as love, sexuality, disease, etc.
I seldom read books by other African authors, so it was a nice switch. I found this book really interesting, because it felt like the story got better as I kept turning the pages. In my opinion Baingana did an awesome job on this debut and I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to read a non-nigerian book. REVIEW: A COWRIE OF HOPE

The plot was kind of predictable, nothing mind-blowing, but pretty decent. I especially loved how the story gave me Joys of Motherhood vibes....
